Toronto, ON – Congratulations to Tony Gallucci of Ennismore for winning $1 million with LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS in the January 6, 2017 draw.
“I really enjoy playing LOTTO MAX and last week’s draw was so huge, I had to buy a few tickets,” shared Tony while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “Now look where I am!”
Tony learned about his big win the day following the draw. “I stopped in for gas and decided to check my numbers. I used the ticket checker and suddenly saw the words, ‘Big Winner’ appear on the screen. I thought I won $1,000.” Next, Tony asked the retailer to validate his ticket. “The retailer was telling me about a recent customer who won $500. I said, ‘I think I have them beat.’ Keep in mind I thought I won $1,000. After the ticket was validated, OLG called the store and at the end of the conversation I was told I won $1 million! All I could say was, ‘Are you kidding me?’ As soon as I walked out of the store I let out the biggest scream!”
Tony lost his wife to cancer in 2009. “The last seven years have been challenging. When I lost my wife I decided I would be a stay-at-home dad to my two beautiful daughters. They are the most important people in my life. The day we found out about my win, we celebrated as a family with a special dinner at our girls’ favourite restaurant.”
Special plans are already underway for Tony’s big win. “Both my daughters will be attending university in the future and now I can breathe easy, knowing their education is paid for. I am also planning to whisk them away on a fantastic vacation to Europe. Finally, I love vintage cars and I just might treat myself to a 1965 Corvette Stingray or a 1969 Camaro. Winning the lottery means an even brighter future for my girls and the freedom to enjoy life,” concluded Tony.
The winning ticket was purchased at Causeway Variety on Robinson Road in Ennismore.
