A winning set of numbers for a DAILY GRAND draw entitles a winner to a prize in only one of the above prize categories.
Yes. For the top prize, instead of an annuity payment, the winner may choose a single lump sum total of $7 million. For the second prize of $25,000 a year for life, the winner may choose a single lump sum total of $500,000.
There are two fields of numbers on DAILY GRAND. Five main numbers from 1 to 49 are chosen and one GRAND NUMBER, from 1 to 7, is chosen.
DAILY GRAND is played with two separate fields of winning numbers. The first five main numbers are chosen from 1 to 49, and one number, the GRAND NUMBER, is chosen from a field of 1 to 7. The GRAND NUMBER is used to add more prize categories to the prize structure. There are nine prize categories in total. The GRAND NUMBER can be used to win prizes even if the player hasn’t matched any main numbers. The GRAND NUMBER can be used if matched to a prize with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 main numbers.
Yes. If one or more of the five main numbers is from 1 to 7, it’s possible that the same number could be drawn as the GRAND NUMBER.
No. The five main numbers can only be matched to the five main numbers on a DAILY GRAND ticket and the GRAND NUMBER can only be matched to the GRAND NUMBER on the ticket.
Tickets can be purchased until 10:30 p.m. the day of the draw.
Yes. Quick Pick is available for DAILY GRAND.
Yes. When playing with Quick Pick you can have up to 10 selections. If you choose your own numbers you can choose up to four selections on the selection slip.

You choose your five main numbers, and each set will include one of the possible GRAND NUMBERs, 1 through 7. DAILY GRAND will not be available on PlayOLG.ca at launch, but may be available in the future.
Yes. You can buy a QUICKPICK PACK that includes one (1) DAILY GRAND play, two (2) LOTTO 6/49 plays and (1) ENCORE (LOTTO 6/49) play for a total price of $10.
The annuity prizes on DAILY GRAND are intended as true “for life” prizes, lasting for the entire life of the winner. There is no set maximum on the length of the payments.
Yes. There are times when a top prize or second prize winner may have to take the cash option instead of the annuity. These include situations such as: the winner is not a resident of Canada, the winning ticket is owned by more than one person or there are multiple winning tickets for an annuity prize.
The annuity option won’t be available to multiple winners. Instead, the winning selections equally share the cash prize, $7 million for the top prize category and $500,000 for the second prize category. For example, if there are two winning selections in the top category, each will be entitled to $3.5 million. If there are two winning selections in the second category, each will be entitled to $250,000.
Claimants will have 60 days from the time they present their prize claim to decide whether to choose the annuity or single payment option. We encourage those claimants to seek independent financial advice to help make that decision. DAILY GRAND winners have one year from the draw date in which to present their ticket for claim.
DAILY GRAND draws will be made with a computerized draw system that uses a random number generator (RNG). The draws are secure and as unpredictable as draws made by a ball-drop. Regardless of the draw method, all lottery draws are audited both internally and externally. There are a number of checks and balances that are overseen by third-party experts. These include on-site auditors for draws and third-party certification experts who verify the equipment used. RNG machines are kept inside a safe in a controlled room. Draw machines have no external ports or drives that would allow new software to be introduced. Draw machines are designed to signal any modification to any component of the system that has an influence on the outcome.
DAILY GRAND Bonus Draws – October 16 & 19, 2017
1. WHAT IS THE DAILY GRAND BONUS DRAW?
On October 16 and October 19, 2017 DAILY GRAND is offering Bonus Draws, with five additional chances to win $25,000 a year for life or lump sum cash prize of $500,000 on each draw date. All DAILY GRAND plays issued for either date have a chance to win the top prize of $1,000 a day for life, the second prize of $25,000 a year for life, and the five additional Bonus Draws of $25,000 a year for life. Winners of the Bonus Draw have the option to choose the annuity payment of $25,000 a year for life, or a $500,000 lump sum cash payment.
2. HOW CAN I ENTER THE DAILY GRAND BONUS DRAW?
Every play issued for the October 16 and/or October 19, 2017 DAILY GRAND draws is entered into the Bonus Draws for five additional chances to win $25,000 a year for life.
3. ARE THERE ADDITIONAL BONUS DRAW NUMBERS ON MY TICKET?
There are no additional Bonus Draw numbers on your ticket. Your main selection applies to all prizes, including the five additional Bonus Draws. In order to win a Bonus Draw prize, the five main numbers within your regular selection must match exactly the five numbers drawn in the Bonus Draw.
4. IS THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COST TO PLAY THE DAILY GRAND BONUS DRAW?
There is no additional cost to play the DAILY GRAND Bonus Draws. Every play issued for the October 16 and/or October 19, 2017 DAILY GRAND draws are entered into the five additional Bonus Draws for $25,000 a year for life.

To win a Bonus Draw prize, the five main numbers of your selection must match exactly the five numbers drawn in the Bonus Draw.

No, a Grand Number will not be drawn in the Bonus Draws. A player only needs to match the five main numbers on their ticket to the five main numbers drawn for the Bonus Draw prize.
7. WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF WINNING ONE OF THE BONUS DRAWS?
The odds for winning any one of the Bonus Draws is 1 in 1,906,884.
8. WHY ARE THE ODDS DIFFERENT FOR WINNING THE $25,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE ON A REGULAR DRAW VERSUS WINNING THE SAME PRIZE ON ONE OF THE BONUS DRAWS?
The odds for winning any one of the Bonus Draws is 1 in 1,906,884. The odds of winning the second prize of $25,000 a year for life in the main draw is 1 in 2,224,698.
The odds are different because the second prize for the main draw is won by having 5 out of 5 main numbers, without having the Grand Number. For the Bonus Draw, there is no Grand Number drawn, so the odds of winning are based on the 5 numbers, not 6 as in the main draw.
9. CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT THE ADDITIONAL BONUS DRAW PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED?
The Bonus Draws are not guaranteed prizes and therefore may not all be won. Any Bonus prize not won will be held for a future Bonus Draw promotion.
10. WHERE DOES THE FUNDING FOR THE BONUS DRAW PRIZES COME FROM?
Funding for the Bonus Draw Prizes comes from the DAILY GRAND prize fund, which is 49 per cent of DAILY GRAND sales.
11. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE SAME SELECTION TO BE DRAWN FOR MORE THAN ONE OF THE FIVE BONUS DRAWS?
Yes, it is possible for the same selection to be drawn for more than one of the Bonus Draws as winning selections are not removed from subsequent draws.
12. WHAT HAPPENS IF A WINNING TICKET IS HELD BY MORE THAN ONE INDIVIDUAL, THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WINNING TICKET, OR IF MORE THAN ONE WINNING BONUS SELECTION APPEARS ON ONE OR MORE OF THE WINNING TICKETS?
The Bonus Draw prize for each winning bonus selection on a winning ticket will be calculated by dividing the lump sum cash payment of $500,000 by the total number of times a winning bonus selection appears on winning tickets.
13. HOW LONG DO DAILY GRAND BONUS DRAW WINNERS HAVE TO CLAIM THE PRIZE?
