We are currently renovating our OLG Prize Centre to serve you better. The OLG Prize Centre doors on Dundas St. will be closed but you can enter through the mall doorway to the east (right) of the Prize Centre. Renovations are expected to be completed in the fall of 2017. We will remain open during this time and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Important! Please read the following information before taking steps to claim your prize.
Once received at OLG, winning tickets and tickets that are damaged cannot be returned to the claimant.
No Assignment of Prize Winnings. Prize winnings cannot be assigned, transferred, lent, sold or otherwise directed to third parties by prize winners. For greater specificity, all prize winnings will be paid directly to the prize winner (as determined by OLG).
As part of OLG's prize payment protocol, OLG reserves the right to subject any person having any involvement with a winning ticket prior to the submission of a prize claim to the same requirements as the person(s) claiming the prize. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, providing valid government issued photo identification, participating in a face-to-face interview, and completing the "Release of Prize Claim Form".
MANDATORY: To claim a prize of $1,000 or more, you must complete a Lottery Prize Claim Declaration Form. This applies to both single and group play wins. All prize claim documentation must include the claimant's legal first and last name as shown on the valid government issued identification that will be presented with the claim documentation.
GROUP WINNERS: For major wins of $10,000 or more, we recommend that group winners contact the OLG Prize Centre to schedule an appointment at 1-800-387-0098.
To claim your prize, bring the following things with you:
Fill in the required information on the front and back of the ticket (print clearly). Do not put additional writing or markings on your tickets as this will increase the time it takes OLG to process your prize claim.
Additional Information for Group Winners:
The ticket should be signed by the group leader “In Trust” or each group member may sign the ticket.
Have your Customer Receipt with you (if the ticket was already validated by an OLG retailer).
One piece of valid government-issued photo ID with your birth date, and a second piece of acceptable identification.
Group Winners Must Bring:
A legible photocopy (front and back) of one piece of valid government issued photo identification with date of birth, and a second piece of acceptable identification for each group member.See what types of ID are accepted
All sections need to be filled out (Sections A,B & C), including where you purchased your ticket. Make sure the form is signed and witnessed. †OLG Prize Centre is closed on all statutory holidays. It is also closed on Saturday if a statutory holiday falls on a Monday or Friday.
From Monday to Friday, prizes of $10,000 and more must be claimed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Saturdays, prizes of $10,000* and more must be claimed between 9 a.m. and noon.
*Saturday claims are limited to prizes less than $10,000 for INSTANT wins and less than $15 million for Lotto and Sports wins.
Note: For group wins, the Group Captain should speak to a Prize Centre Representative prior to going to the Prize Centre to claim a prize as the claim can take several hours to process. A Prize Centre Representative will inform you of the best time to claim your group prize.
Major win prizes of $10,000 and more cannot be claimed on the day won.
OLG cannot guarantee same day prize payments.

OLG strives to serve its customers and process prize claims as quickly as possible, however additional time may be needed to complete the required prize claim process.
For prize claims between $10,000 and $15 million the claim process can take three or more hours. For the best chance at receiving a same day prize payment, claimants should arrive at the Prize Centre by 3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday, or by noon on Saturday. Notwithstanding the foregoing, OLG cannot guarantee same day prize payments.
Most prize winners claim their prize on Mondays and Fridays. Tuesday is also busy during the fall and winter months. If you plan to visit the Prize Centre on one of these days, you may experience longer wait times.
To help process your claim, you should be prepared to answer some questions to help us verify the ownership of the winning ticket. You will be asked a series of questions including when and where the ticket was purchased, and if you or any member of your family is affiliated with OLG or with a person who sells OLG products.
The OLG Prize Centre issues cheques for all claims. There is no cash on the premises.
If there are no issues with your prize claim, you will receive a cheque in your legal name as shown on Government issued identification presented at the time of prize claim.
For group claims, individual prize cheques will be issued to each member of the group based on the proportion of prize indicated on the Lottery Prize Claim Group List.
Important - A prize cheque cannot be released to anyone other than the person named on the cheque. If the winner cannot attend the Prize Centre, his/her cheque will be sent by regular mail or courier, based on the winning amount.
Prize Winners of $10,000 or more
Prizes of $10,000 and over are considered major wins. Once your prize is approved for payment, you will be interviewed by a Prize Centre staff member to complete the publicity requirements associated with your major win. This is a light-hearted interview to help us understand the unique story behind your win.
In our ongoing efforts to ensure the integrity of our lottery operations and maintain the confidence of Ontarians, OLG will publish information on all lottery wins of $1,000 or more on OLG.ca for a period of 30 days. This information will include the name, city of residence and the prize won for all individuals or groups who are paid a lottery prize of $1,000 or more.
OLG publicizes ALL winners of $10,000 and over in a news release and on our website for 30 days. This release will include your name, city of residence and details of your prize. You will be asked to sign a form acknowledging your understanding of this condition.
You will also have the option of being featured on our website and other advertising mediums as a Featured Lottery Winner.
If you’re claiming a prize of $10,000 and over and fall within OLG's Related Party/Insider Win definition, the claim process will take additional time to complete.
If there are no issues with your prize claim, and your prize is approved for payment, a Prize Centre Representative will inform you of your prize payout date. The payment of each Insider prize is held for 30 days from the date the insider news release is published to allow anyone with concerns regarding the prize to come forward.
On the prize payout date, your cheque will be forwarded to a select Slots & Casinos facility for pickup, or you can pick it up at the OLG Prize Centre. Group lottery tickets are void if an OLG retailer or a person involved in the handling of lottery tickets at the retailer's store is a member of the group and the group's tickets are purchased, electronically checked or electronically validated in the retailer's store. OLG's goal is to ensure that the right prize is paid to the right person(s) every time. There are times when ownership of a lottery prize is disputed by the claimants and other parties. When an ownership dispute occurs, options are available, as follows. The parties involved may settle the matter privately, or by proceeding in the Ontario courts, or resolved through arbitration by an arbitrator appointed by the Chair of the Board of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). All parties to a prize dispute must agree to the process for arbitration to proceed. For more information on the AGCO arbitration process visit the AGCO website.
